Financial services provider CUA and Brisbane coworking space River City Labs are calling on startups to apply to their next
Sponsored Entrepreneur Program, which will give five entrepreneurs or startup teams three months of mentoring and paid membership to the startup hub.
As well as access to training and networking events through the membership, the startups will also receive legal, marketing, and PR assistance.
Josh Anthony, community manager at River City Labs, said it's exciting that the space is in a position to keep the program running.
“A free, three-month mentorship is a fantastic opportunity for an early-stage startup to really kick-start and grow their business, and take advantage of all the perks and benefits that come out of joining a co-working community," he said.
Graduates of the program include Zenva Academy, a startup helping people create games, apps, and websites through online courses and tutorials. The startup recently concluded a successful $30,000 Kickstarter campaign.
CUA has also confirmed its 12 month sponsorship of the program, with Sue Coulter, general manager of business transformation and technology at CUA, stating that the program is an exciting opportunity for the organisation to gain access to new ideas from Queensland entrepreneurs.
“CUA is very focused on enhancing and expanding our digital capabilities and the mobile and online services we provide to customers, and this relationship with River City Labs is just one example of how we’re investing in innovation,” she said.
Applications are open to individuals or startup teams, with applicants needing to show proof that they've already started working on their idea. They must also commit to working on their business on a full-time basis for the 3 month period.
Startups can apply to the program, which will run from August to October,
